The Conference

European Maritime Day is distinguished by its central event—a dynamic two-day conference. This gathering showcases high-level plenary sessions, featuring inspirational speakers, leadership exchanges, and interactive stakeholder workshops that bring together experts and stakeholders from across Europe and beyond.

This year, European Maritime Day (EMD) will take place in Svendborg, Denmark on 30-31 May 2024.

EMD in my country

EMD in my country plays a pivotal role in fostering ocean awareness and activism, riding the wave of growing interest. From beach clean-ups to art exhibitions and maritime heritage walks, these events draw thousands annually. The diverse activities aim to engage a broad European audience, with a special focus on the younger demographic through a "fun and game" component, contributing to the rising popularity of EMD initiatives.

During the period from 1 April to 31 October 2024, you have the opportunity to organize an "EMD in my country" event. Submit your application here.

Exhibition

The event will feature a dynamic lineup of exhibitors from across Europe, highlighting the innovation and investment potential within the blue economy. The EMD exhibition space serves as an ideal venue for stakeholders to meet, exchange experiences, and delve into the latest developments.
