As the future of European cooperation takes shape, the European Research Project (ERP) aims to contribute vital evidence-based analyses to help define the strategic direction of transnational cooperation beyond 2027. This initiative will explore the needs, opportunities, and priorities for cooperation across all 13 transnational programme areas established for the 2021-2027 programming period. By delivering insights that complement existing territorial analyses, the project will support programme authorities and the European Commission as they prepare for the next programming cycle.

Project Scope and Purpose

The research will focus on:

  • Identifying key challenges and opportunities in transnational cooperation.
  • Providing strategic recommendations to guide future programming.
  • Establishing a common knowledge base to assist policymakers in setting priorities.

The results of this project will help shape future strategies, ensuring that cooperation remains responsive to territorial needs while enhancing its impact across Europe.

Budget and Funding

The total available budget for this project is EUR 450,000.00 (exclusive of VAT but inclusive of all taxes, travel, accommodation, and delivery costs).
