Yesterday, 12 January, our IVY Reporter Beatrice Selice just joined the Joint Secretariat in Bologna. Her plan is to stay with us until July, and we are so glad to have her on board for these next intense six months!

Beatrice is Italian and comes from a town in the surroundings of Bologna. She graduated in Local and Global Development at the University of Bologna and has already some experience in project’s management in the social sector. She likes spending time open air, surrounded by nature which she finds extremely recharging. Beatrice is also passionate about art and traveling and loves spending her time sightseeing, discovering new cultures and enjoying urban architecture.  She said “I am really thrilled by the opportunity to contribute with my skills and time to an organization whose mission is really in line with my values. In fact, I am deeply interested in cooperation and community-based solutions, and I am eager to contribute first-hand to raising visibility and awareness of the effective impacts of transnational projects.”

The Programme has already hosted four volunteers through the IVY Programme, which is a unique initiative supporting youth in their path towards their professional aspirations. We are already excited to absorb some of the new and fresh ideas coming from Beatrice!
