The REGIOSTARS Awards 2026 are now open for applications. This competition is a chance for projects to gain European recognition, inspire others, and prove the lasting impact of your work. Organized annually by DG REGIO since 2008, it recognizes EU-funded projects that drive regional development and showcase innovation, impact, and inclusivity

- Green Europe
- Connected Europe
- Social and Inclusive Europe
- Europe Closer to Citizens
How it works? A jury of experts will select the winners in each category during the European Week of Regions and Cities in Brussels, in October, while the public will vote for their favourite project from 25 finalists. Winners will be announced at the REGIOSTARS ceremony and receive a mini-promotion campaign for their project
